Comic and Manga Class

Comic and Manga Class

Presented by Crocker Art Museum at Online/Virtual Space

From cave paintings and Egyptian hieroglyphics to the fantastical works of Hieronymus Bosch and William Blake, storytelling with pictures is nothing new. In recent years, it's developed into a global industry flush with conventions, films, and video games. In this class inspired by the fantastical works of Todd Schorr, learn about the history of graphic fiction while exploring and developing illustrative skills in drawing and painting.

This class is ideal for fans of comics and manga who want to better understand the artistic roots of the medium and develop skills beyond the basics of good storytelling.

All supplies are provided and available for curbside pickup on July 23 and 24.
