Impressionistic-style Painting

Presented by Crocker Art Museum at Online/Virtual Space

Gain a working knowledge of composition and acrylic painting fundamentals in a class designed for novice painters. Afterward, follow along step-by-step to create an Impressionist-inspired landscape on a pre-sketched canvas and make it your own.

Instructor Michelle Steen is the Manager of Public Programs at the Crocker, where she previously coordinated family and early childhood programs. She holds an MFA in figurative painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and joined the Crocker in 2015 after moving to Sacramento. Prior to that, she taught private lessons and was an art instructor at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco. She lives with her husband, one-year-old human and 12-year-old canine in East Tahoe Park.
