Beginning Watercolor Painting

Learn how to manipulate watercolor in a fun, casual class for beginners. Start with basic techniques like wet wash and color mixing before progressing to a series of small studies. (All participants will have the chance to experiment with watercolor and collage techniques.) Registration closes September 10 at midnight.

Instructor Karen Roughton is an artist, retired professor of art from American River College, and a Crocker docent. She has a master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento and has been involved in art education for more than 45 years. She is known for her supportive, easygoing teaching style.
