The 38th Annual Elly award ceremony recognizes and celebrates excellence in community theatre in our greater Sacramento area. More than 60 theatres submitted 150 shows to compete for the coveted Elly Award during this shortened season which ended in mid-March due to the Covid-19 pandemic shelter in place order.

The ceremony, which will be live-streamed on Twitch TV, includes live and pre-recorded award announcements, acceptance speeches, musical interludes and musical performances by multiple theatres that have been nominated for Overall Production of a Musical in all categories - Adult, Children's Theatre, Youth Theatre and Education.

More than 87 Elly Awards will be given in multiple categories including the following:
-Costume Design
-Set Design
-Sound Design
-Make-up Design
-Lead Actor/Actress
-Supporting Actor/Actress
-Director
-Choreographer
-Musical Director
-Original Script

The SARTA Board of Directors will announce two very special Lifetime Achievement Award honorees for 2020. Plus, in keeping with our theme, there will be an exciting Pajama Party contest on Instagram with prizes. You won't want to miss this unique event!
