This virtual conference is for educators, parents, agriculturists and anyone interested in learning about food and fiber and receiving free lessons and hands-on activities for students to learn about where their food comes from. From strawberries to lemons and avocados, we are excited to explore Ventura County agriculture virtually! Learn about the importance of educating our youth about food and fiber through all subject areas with a focus on adapting in a distance learning environment.

Conference includes:
-Welcome speech by California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross and John Krist, CEO of Farm Bureau of Ventura County
-A live cooking demonstration will be provided by Mulvaney's B&L.
-Live virtual tours include a visit to Houweling's Tomatoes and Limoneira Company's lemon packinghouse
-Keynote speakers include Jamie Johansson, President of California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom and Michael Marks, Television Personality and Produce Expert. -Education workshops will be presented by Students for Eco-Education; Dr. Rose Hayden Smith, Emeritus, UCANR; Julie Cates, educator, Linwood Elementary School; Morgan Carey of Dairy Council of California, and Dr. Browning Neddeau of CSU, Chico
-A farmer panel will discuss challenges facing agriculture.
