Experience Architecture: A Bite of Design: The Future of Restaurants

Presented by American Institute of Architects (AIA) - Central Valley at Online/Virtual Space

As a part of AIACV's Experience Architecture 2020, join in for this panel discussion on changing restaurant operations amidst COVID-19.

This year’s Bite of Design program examines the future of restaurants, including changes to restaurant design to meet the needs created by the pandemic.

We've invited panelists Bruce Monighan, AIA, Urban Design Manager for the City of Sacramento; Whitney Johnson, interior designer; architect Craig Hausman, AIA and Clay Nutting, owner of Cannon East Restaurant in Sacramento to discuss how restaurant operation has significantly changed to meet new and changing state and local health requirements, as well as how design will continue to play a key role in not only meeting current needs, but also shaping the future of the restaurants moving forward.

Note: Zoom link will be provided to registered participants.

Experience Architecture is a public-outreach event designed by AIA Central Valley to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.
