Experience Architecture: Convergence: The Pandemics of COVID-19 and Health Disparities

Presented by American Institute of Architects (AIA) - Central Valley at Online/Virtual Space

As a part of AIACV's Experience Architecture 2020, join us for this panel discussion on how inequity in healthcare affects health outcomes.

This lively and informative event features panelists from UC Davis Health, the Sacramento LGBT Center, Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health. Panelists will share their personal experiences in Sacramento’s current healthcare system, the effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic, and how they’re currently addressing inequities among marginalized groups in our community.

Architects from the Chapter’s healthcare and equity diversity & inclusion committees will ask questions that focus on approaches and solutions that can remediate and improve community health in our region.

Zoom link will be provided to registered participants.

Experience Architecture is a public-outreach event designed by AIA Central Valley to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.
