350 Sacramento’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

350 Sacramento is excited to invite you to celebrate our 10th Anniversary with three weeks of inspiring, informative, and FUN events and activities. The party starts with a kickoff featuring author and climate hero Bill McKibben, and continues to the end of the month. All events are free and open to everyone. Event Schedule:
-Oct. 10 (4pm–5pm): Anniversary kickoff featuring climate hero Bill McKibben
-Oct. 14 (4pm–5pm): Meet Paul Lau, a conversation with SMUD’s incoming CEO/GM
-Oct. 17 (6pm–7:30pm): Ode to Earth, a performing and visual arts show honoring Mother Earth, plus Auction
-Oct. 21 (6pm–7:30pm): Slow Streets Action panel - let’s make Slow Streets happen in our region
-Oct. 19–25 (On Demand): Walk and Roll-a-thon, an active transportation challenge and fundraiser for individuals and teams. Optional themes for each day.
-Oct. 24 (6pm–7pm): Mary DeMocker, a talk by author of The Parent’s Guide to Climate Revolution: 100 Ways to Build a Fossil-Free Future, Raise Empowered Kids, and Still Get a Good Night’s Sleep. For parents and non-parents alike.
-Oct. 28 (6pm–7:30pm): Future of Food panel - a look at all aspects of food production and waste.

Eric Towensmeier, author of The Carbon Farming Solution—carbon farming

David Baker, ReSoil—food waste diversion and composting
Sean Eakins, Sacramento Food Co-Op—transportation, refrigeration, food waste diversion and packaging
Jan Dell, Last Beach Cleanup—solutions for ending plastic food packaging pollution.
-Oct. 31 (All month—contest winners on Oct. 31): Green The’ Ween contest - fashion a sustainable Halloween and share your photos. Judges include Mayor Steinberg and others.
