Join REI Co-op, Parks California and California State Parks PORTS (Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students)® for their California Family Halloween Hike and Seek Challenge, a creative alternative to Trick-or-Treating this holiday season. The California Family Halloween Hike and Seek Challenge encourages families to get outside and explore their local parks, neighborhoods and favorite trials this October while checking everything off the Hike and Seek list.

Parents can visit the California Family Halloween Hike and Seek website, download the checklist and get hiking with the kids. Get ready to cross items off the Hike & Seek checklist, like strike your best zombie pose in front of your local park sign, spot some spider webs, find a creeping cat, attend REI Day with PORTS on Oct. 21, and more!

Families are encouraged to share their experiences and photos of their adventures with the REI community on REI Conversations, REI’s digital community to learn, share and inspire each other to get outside.
