A single session to try out wheel throwing, learn the fundamentals in 3 hours and gain access to the wheels during Verge's Clay Lab (wheel experience required to use the wheel during Clay Lab). Instruction includes demonstration of centering the clay on the wheel and how to raise the form in order to create basic vessels or plates. If you already have a bit of experience, this class may help you throw more successfully. We will also spend some time discussing finishing your pieces (ie trimming and glazing). The last half hour of the class will be dedicated to clean up. All pieces you make in this class will be bisque fired within 2 weeks.

You must come back to pick up your bisqueware (fired clay pieces) within four weeks. You may take them home or participate in any of our Clay Lab hours that occur twice a week to glaze your pieces. You are welcome to retake this class as many times as you like.
