Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino will transform its second floor into a socially-distanced haunted hotel for Halloween. The family-friendly event will feature guestrooms decorated in different spooky themes and will include checkpoints and staging areas to ensure appropriate social distancing between guests.

The haunted hotel will be open on October 31, 2020 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.  It is complimentary for overnight resort guests, and non-resort guests will gain entry when they present at least one food donation for Sierra Community House, an organization that works to empower the community through family strengthening, crisis intervention, hunger relief and legal services. The organization is seeking donations of single or family-size portions of pasta, beans and rice. The items must be unopened and not past the “best by” or “sell by” dates.

In addition to the haunted hotel, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino will provide Halloween-themed activities for overnight guests throughout the weekend.  Guests checking in on Friday, October 30 or Saturday, October 31 will receive “Squirmy S’mores” kits with gummy worms included, and children will receive “Goblin Goodie Bags.”  The resort will also feature a “Skeleton Scavenger Hunt” at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, and a complimentary “Witches Brew” hot apple cider available at the poolside firepit at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
