Introduction to Acrylic Painting

Explore the basics of acrylic painting techniques while getting to know one of the primary painting genres: landscapes. Students in this introductory class will learn the foundations of color theory and mixing, brush techniques, and composition.

Running low on supplies or just want to avoid going to the store? Purchase a Supplies-to-Go Bag, conveniently packed and quarantined for at least 72 hours and ready for curbside pick-up at a designated time. Available at registration. Limit one per participant.

Instructor Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions, and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International.
