Art History: Family Ties (Mothers and Daughters)

Art History: Family Ties (Mothers and Daughters)

Presented by Crocker Art Museum and Sacramento Area of Museums (SAM) at Online

Examine the role of family ties portrayed in the groundbreaking work of the Saar and Velarde/Hardin families, particularly the matriarchs, who each played a seminal role in the work of their descendants. Engage in lively conversations and broaden your perception of familial influences, relationships, and divergent approaches to creativity.

Instructor Laurie Seban is a Northern California native with a mEaster's in art history from the University of California, Davis, specializing in non-Western and modern art. She currently teaches Native American art at California State University, Sacramento.
