Sacramento Songwriter Circle Showcase

Sacramento Songwriter Circle Showcase

Presented by Sacramento Songwriter Circle at Online/Virtual Space

This is an "in the round"-style showcase that features local songwriters. Participants perform original music and are interviewed about their work after each song.

This event features Richard Durazo, Kendra Dantes, and Alec Ogston.

Richard Durazo plays guitar in MelloSmoove Band. (Also known as A Sound For All Ears Entertainment).  He writes his own original solo music, where he sings in addition to playing guitar. His music has been described as "a blues guitarist with a reggae sense of rhythm singing folk songs." You can listen to his music here: https://youtu.be/kgpbk9VHrQs

Kendra Dantes plays guitar, piano, and ukulele. She makes pop music inspired by the books she reads. She has won Sacramento's Got Talent twice, and opened for NEEDTOBREATHE at the Harris Center. Recently, her work has become more cinematic and dark sounding due to her interest in sync licensing. You can learn more about her here: https://kendradantes.com/

Alec Ogston is known for his folky songs about animals that he plays on acoustic guitar. His quirky lyrical style has made him a local favorite at open mics. You can listen to some of his music here.

This event will be live-streamed on Facebook and Twitch.
