Y.E.H.S.S. Black History Youth Program Sign-ups

Y.E.H.S.S. Black History Youth Program Sign-ups

Presented by Y.E.H.S.S. Program at Online/Virtual Space

Too often history is depressing and incomplete.

Present day Oak Park and Curtis Park used to be 1 neighborhood. They were Sacramento’s first suburb! Also Sacramento’s Historically Black neighborhood. But why? And was the area only home to Blacks and African-Americans? And how has that affected the area today?

Young Enlightened Historians and Social Scientists (Y.E.H.S.S.) is a youth mentorship program for Age 14-20 that teaches local multicultural history to improve individual self esteem, increase cross cultural understanding, and create a History/Social Science college and career pathway.

Sign up here. Deadline is February 11.
