This is a thoughtfully curated poetry event showcasing the range and complexity of spoken word poetry.

A diverse cast of eight Sacramento area poets will take to the Zoom stage at The Sacramento Poetry Center on April 26 to celebrate National Poetry Month.

Sacramento's current Poet laureate, Andru Defeye will kick off  the festivities with a special message. Among the  performing poets is Alexandra Huyhn, one of Sacramento's current Youth Poet Laureates. Rebecca Blanton, a local award-winning blogger and performance artist will be a special guest.

There will be a short open mic after the featured readers.
