CapRadio Reads: The Sentinel with Andrew Child

CapRadio Reads: The Sentinel with Andrew Child

Presented by CapRadio at Online/Virtual Space

Join host Donna Apidone and author Andrew Child as they discuss a world that feels all too real. Cyberattacks and possible election interference are the focal points in the latest novel of the bestselling Jack Reacher series — The Sentinel.

Following the author interview, there will be live Q/A to pose your questions to Donna Apidone and the author.

In broad daylight, Reacher spots a hapless soul walking into an ambush. “It was four against one"...so Reacher intervenes, with his own trademark brand of conflict resolution.

The man he saves is Rusty Rutherford, an unassuming IT manager, recently fired after a cyberattack locked up the town’s data, records, information...and secrets. Rutherford wants to stay put, look innocent, and clear his name.

Reacher is intrigued. There’s more to the story. The bad guys who jumped Rutherford are part of something serious and deadly, involving an election conspiracy, a cover-up, and murder—all centered on a mousy little guy in a coffee-stained shirt who has no idea what he’s up against.

Andrew Child, already the author of nine suspense and thriller novels under his birth name — Andrew Grant — was passed the baton of authoring the Jack Reacher series by his older brother Lee Child. Lee announced last year that he and Andrew would co-author four Jack Reacher books before he retires, and Andrew takes over the series on his own.

Before working as a novelist, Andrew founded an independent theater company that produced original material culminating in a critically successful appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He then moved into the telecommunications industry for 15 years, carrying out various roles – including a number that the UK Official Secrets Act covered before leaving corporate life and establishing himself as an author.
