Yesterday's Tomorrow, Tonight!

Yesterday's Tomorrow, Tonight!

Presented by The Garage on the Grove at TGTG

Time is a flat circle and our collective psyche has settled into that distortion, easily tagging last year as if it were yesterday, today, and tomorrow all at once. Join us in that rift of time and space when Kunstcapades' gondola crash lands at TGTG for an evening of art-talk radio, broadcast LIVE from the Garage, and experimental film shorts by Dicky Bahto, Marika Borgeson, Alex Cunningham, Kate Lain, Victor Orozco Ramirez, Denise Prince, Blanca Rego aka _Blank, and Lichun Tseng. Their work was specially curated for us by curator, artist, and teacher Ginelle Hustrulid.

Founded in 2014, KunstCapades is an art-themed variety show/podcast hosted by Robyn Carliss, Josh Pieper, and Tim Sullivan. Guests from all points on the artist-curator-dealer-collector spectrum board a gondola up to the recording booth – Altitide, an alpine-island bar in an undisclosed, altitudinous San Francisco location – for conversation and cocktails. Listeners are treated to a rollicking agenda of absurd segments, including “Art Crimes,” “Beats from the Belfry,” “eBay Today,” “Let’s Ask Tantum,” “Bartender’s Ballyhoo,” and intel regarding local openings and calls for work. Listen to all their episodes on SoundCloud or Podcasts.

As with all TGTG events, the September 25th film and live podcast night will be free and open to all, with a focus on bringing new and interesting work to Sacramento in a friendly, community minded atmosphere.

Note: Bring your camping chair for a cozy choose-your-own view, or come early to claim a bench. Seating is limited and masks are required. This is an outdoor event.
