How to Paint Skin Tone

How to Paint Skin Tone

Presented by Crocker Art Museum and Sacramento Area of Museums (SAM) at Crocker Art Museum

The mystery is over! In this class, repeated by request, participants learn how to observe, appreciate, and evaluate skin tones to paint portraits that perfectly capture your subjects. Through conversations about color, hue, and value, participants will experiment and practice mixing colors in this easy-going experimental learning adventure.

Instructor Shonna McDaniels is the founder and director of the Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum, now the Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum. She is a professional muralist and has an extensive background in art instruction and mural design. She has more than 26 years of involvement with community organizations that support the arts through exhibitions, residencies, murals, and festivals in South Sacramento.
