This December dialogue will focus on the pivotal role of Northern California’s multi-faceted Asian American communities in shaping our region. From the early impact of Chinese labor, and subsequent exclusionary immigration laws, to the ways pioneers from South Asia and Southeast Asia have shaped the Central Valley, Conversations that Matter will touch on a wide range of cultural and ethnic experiences in Sacramento.
Panelists will explore a variety of critical issues and histories, and share some of the creative responses to fight anti-Asian bias and elevate vital, under-told stories.
