For more than 50 years, the Crocker has proudly presented its Classical Concert Series, featuring the finest musicians and singers from the region and around the world. These educational performances are approximately 60 minutes with no intermission and draw inspiration from art on view at the Museum.

Taking a cue from the exhibition The Candy Store: Funk, Nut, and Other Art with a Kick, violinist Igor Veligan, cellist Susan Lamb Cook, and pianist Gayle Blankenburg have created a program certain to elicit the sensation of bright colors and a burst of sweet flavors. The trio will present a program of “ear candy” featuring single movements by Paul Schoenfeld, Mikhail Glinka, Astor Piazzolla, Clara Schumann, and Amy Beach, creating a musical delight for all.
