Photographs can help us to see humor in unexpected ways. At times humor can be silly, ironic, thought-provoking or surprising. Often humor allows us to see a new perspective. And humor can make us smile or even laugh out loud. For this special Student Exhibit any types of humorous subject or situation was accepted for consideration. The resulting exhibit is both funny and irreverent. The images provide a welcome bit of comic relief during these complicated times and it’s a wonderful companion exhibit to the Main Gallery's Art from Art open call.

The annual student exhibit includes 1st ($150), 2nd ($100) and 3rd ($75) place awards. The presentation ceremony will take place at the Artists' Reception on Sunday, April 10th beginning at 2pm.

Open Show Sacramento and Viewpoint Photographic Art Center are partnering for the 3rd edition of Photography Month Sacramento April 2022 celebrating the regions incredible student talent from young artists still in high school to graduating college level photographers.
