A $450,000 grant for individual artists is now open for all artists in Sacramento County.

Opportunities for creatives are open. A $450,000 grant for individual artists is now open for all artists in Sacramento County. The guaranteed Basic Income for Artists (GBI) program is in development and free vending opportunities with ABC10. The Atrium is hosting a Creative Economy Meeting that dives into these grants, opportunities, and how to start elevating your creative business.

In this session, They will be talking about the launching of the “Seeding Creativity,” a $450,000 grant program targeting individual artists in Sacramento County. 45 artists will receive a grant of $10,000 to sustain their practice and further their creative work. Applications open on Monday, May 16, and the closing deadline is June 20, 2022.

Melissa Cirone and other city staff will be sharing information on various grants and programs. They will briefly talk about possible future budget cuts to the city arts funding and what the community can do to keep funding flowing to our local creatives.

Sacramento Creative Economy Meetings are gatherings we host to share available grants, programs, and opportunities for independent creatives and small nonprofit organizations. This is a safe place where ideas are shared and discover what problems within our community need attention.
