Choreographed by Ron Cunningham, this performance visualizes Beatrix Potter’s delightful story of a mischievous rabbit and his adventures in Mr. McGregor’s garden. After the performance meet the dancers in a Questions and Answers session. Sensory Friendly Dance invites all Sacramento families, both neurodiverse and neurotypical audience members, to enjoy the performance together. By relaxing traditional theater rules and making sensory friendly accommodations to the theater such as leaving the lights on, lowering the music volume, and allowing audience members to play with fidget toys, dance, talk, and sing along during the performance, a climate of acceptance and understanding is cultivated to help everyone feel welcomed at the performance.
