Encaustic Weekend for Beginners

Become familiar with this intriguing medium and experience several hands-on techniques such as collage, working under wax, and embedding 3-D objects to create four small artworks. All supplies are provided, and participants are invited to bring personal items to include in their encaustic painting.

Instructor Linda Nunes is an award-winning, mixed media artist from California’s Bay Area. She’s also a workshop/demo leader, curator, and sometimes juror who now lives in the Sacramento area. She has exhibited paintings, sculpture, and large permanent and temporary installations locally and in the Bay Area along with several large, commissioned pieces for restaurants and other commercial spaces. Her work is part of numerous private collections throughout California and the U.S. She currently serves on the board and curates for the Sierra Wax Artists organization and is a co-founder of Rancho Cordova Arts.
