Hackathon

Hackathon

Presented by Northern CA Innovation District at Granite Center

NASA Space Apps - Sacramento Region is the hackathon for people of all ages and skill sets, solving real-world and space problems.

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge (Space Apps) is an international hackathon for all aged coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, artists, builders, technologists, students, and others in cities around the world, where teams engage NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. The Sacramento region has a local event in Folsom this year. Bring yourself, then join a team there, or bring your team ready to go!

The 23 Challenges and more info are on the NASA site.

Space Apps brings participants from around the world together at hundreds of in-person and virtual local events to solve challenges submitted by NASA experts. After the hackathon, project submissions are judged by local experts and leaders where prizes and recognition are given. Local winners advance to NASA consideration, judged by space agency experts. These winners are selected for one of 10 Global Awards.
