The return of 5000 WATTS, Sacramento’s biggest electric art show is back! 5000 WATTS is Sacramento's premier nighttime art and tech festival! Be electrified by this curated experience at the intersection of art and tech for the community in the heart of Sacramento!

What does it look like to light the way for the next generation? In partnership with Intel, Verizon, and several other partners, Square Root Academy will be covering Esther’s Park in a sea of lights with interactive installations made by local makers and youth STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) geniuses!

5000 Watts brings together local artists and tech talent to give STEAM to the whole community! During this electrifying night they will be featuring tech based works of art, an illuminated roller rink experience and a one of a kind Night-cade and of course, food!

All proceeds will go towards Square Root Academy’s STEM education programming, which works to engineer equity and strengths-based educational environments for at-risk youth.

Through this immersion, Square Root Academy hopes to showcase the “A” in STEAM, highlighting the power of innovation and collaboration.
