Intro to 3D Printing

Presented by Made Studio at Made Studio

This class provides hands-on training in 3D Printing. This class focuses on Made Studio’s Ender 3 Max Neo 3D printers as well as the Cura slicer program. They will also cover the filaments you can use, their care, and what other types are available.

While strongly geared towards certifying Made Studio members to use Made’s 3D printing lab, this class is also appropriate for non-members who just want an overview of what is involved in using a desktop 3D printer--while the information is tailored to their printers, the high-level concepts are applicable to most printers.

Topics:
-Overview of 3D printing technologies, and which ones Made Studio has
-Rules, policies, amd procedures for printing at Made Studio
-Available Slicer training amd common software used
-Overview of the Cura slicer program.
-How different configuration options within Cura can affect print quality, speed, and resolution
-Printer setup
-Use of the Ender 3 Max Neo 3D printers, step by step
-Leveling the bed
-The SD card and menu
-Launching a print
-Watching for errors, what to look out for
-Removing your print
-Skills
-Cura
-Ender 3 Max Neo

It is strongly recommended that you download and install the Ender version of Cura (links below) on your laptop, and bring said laptop, so you can follow along during this class, however not required (okay to just take notes).
