A Vox Christmas: Sacred Music for Organ and Choir

A Vox Christmas: Sacred Music for Organ and Choir

Presented by Vox Musica at St. John's Lutheran Church

In December, Vox Musica present their beloved holiday performance, A Vox Christmas: Sacred Music for Organ and Choir. This year, they decided to program music that will wash the listeners with comfort, peace, and joy, such as Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen’s glorious Magnificat. This forty-five-minute setting of the Magnificat will be some of the most beautiful music you will ever hear. Lush harmonies and stunning melodies will fill the performance venue and the hearts of the listeners. The collaborating artists for this concert include soprano Annie Davidson, cellist Erik Urbina, and composer and organist Derek Sup. They pair the Magnificat with new arrangements and settings of holiday carols, and yes, we will close with the signature setting of Silent Night. A Vox Christmas is a three-night performance with a pre-recorded, professionally mastered audio and video recording option for anyone who would like to watch virtually.
