Deepen and define your sketches with three simple drawing techniques to create multi-dimensional forms on paper. In addition to building skill in contour line and gestural drawing, learn to develop tonal range, sometimes referred to as value, by understanding how to render light and dark areas of an object. All classes are virtual and take place over Zoom.

Instructor: Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full time. She has been juried into several national plein air painting competitions, and her work is in many private and public collections. Patris opened her own studio and gallery in Oak Park where she exhibits her artwork along with other local artists and coordinates other art-related events. She teaches art classes on a wide variety of subject matter both in her studio and online.
