The March for the Dream is your opportunity to put the ideals and values of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. into practice and invite, walk and talk with someone from another race, religion, or social background for the purpose of building authentic bonds of human value and understanding.

For those who consider themselves a “community leader”, There is the optional first leg of the march known as the Extra Mile.

They affectionately call it the “Extra Mile” because leaders will sometimes have to get up earlier and walk a little farther than those they lead. You can begin the march at either location. The Extra Mile takes place at Oak Park Community Center.
