The Sacramento Blues Society (SBS) is pleased to make this an annual concert fundraiser for The Sacramento Blues Society Little Charlie Baty Memorial Music Scholarship.

Sacramento's own legendary Rick Estrin and the Nightcats travel the world, spreading the joy and power of their music. So in 2023, you only will get to see them maybe two times in Sacramento if you are lucky. In 2023, they are nominated for Band Of The Year, Drummer of the Year and Guitar Player of the Year from The Blues Foundation. This is an amazing honor!

A portion of the net proceeds this night will be donated to SBS’ newly created Little Charlie Baty Memorial Music Scholarship. The endowment honors Charles “Little Charlie” Baty, master guitarist, and fearless blues musician. This scholarship also honors Charlie Baty’s commitment to the "Blues in Schools program," and supports the Sacramento Blues Society’s commitment to continuing the education and preservation of Blues music. It will support students in the School of Music within the College of Arts and Letters, California State University, Sacramento, California. More info and ways to donate here.
