Davis Senior High School Community Club (DHSCC) is hosting an All Abilities Crafts Fair for the second year in a row! Their goal of the event is to allow for everyone in the community to get together and take part in varying arts and crafts activities. Last year, DHSCCs event hosted almost 150 families for an all-inclusive, fun-filled day at Heart Craft Studio free of charge to all attendees. They had several neuro-divergent small business owners reach out to host their own vendor booths at the fair. Additionally, DHSCC hosted 10 student-led crafts booths, all run by high school volunteers!

All the crafts hosted at the booths were organized and come up with by DHSCC board members with help from Heart Craft Studio. All necessary materials for the booths/decorations were fundraised for and donated by DHSCC volunteers. The event was advertised by Good Day Sacramento, and was live streamed and published on their website.

DHSCC recognizes that in many circumstances, neuro-divergent individuals are left out based on factors they cannot control. You see it in sports, at school, almost everywhere you go. Many DHSCC members have close family/friend relations to a neuro-divergent individual, and find this cause close to heart. Their goal in hosting this crafts fair is to give neuro-divergent individuals an opportunity to connect with their peers in an environment inclusive to everyone, while participating in fun and engaging activities and crafts.
