The Colonial Heights Library is a central gathering point for our surrounding neighborhoods and is a vital community asset for providing information and enrichment to the lives of the people the library serves.

The purpose of this event is to bring together the Library’s neighbors and the local elected officials who represent them, to provide an opportunity for the people and those officials to meet and discuss important matters. The officials can introduce themselves and their key staff members, share news about what is happening in their respective districts, hear and respond to community members’ concerns, and offer whatever help their offices can provide. Officials’ introductory comments can focus on whatever they feel is most important that affects us who live and work here. The underlying theme of the event is to remind and impress upon our library’s patrons and our officials that the library is a vital resource for information.
