Sacramento Archives Crawl

Presented by Sacramento Public Library at Central Library

Join us as the Sacramento Region's 4 primary archival repositories - the Sacramento Room (Sacramento Public Library), the California State Archives, the California State Library and the Center for Sacramento History - open their doors to the general public to reveal the magic of their collections and the power of primary source research. This year's theme is "Myth, Folklore, and Legend." A shuttle bus will transport "crawlers" between locations that will provide behind the scenes tours of their collections and host tens of regional cultural heritage groups. Those who stop by the Central Library will be able to participate in one of the more generous drawings going with prizes ranging from Sudwerk and Porchlight beer (must be 21 or older to win) to a gift certificate to the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op. We will also have prizes for our scavenger hunt winners - $100 in Vic's Ice Cream for kids and $100 in books from Time Tested Books for adults! Also at Central Library at 1:00 pm will be a presentation and Q and A session with Skeleton Crew Paranormal, an investigative group that focuses on the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta.
