Movie in Fremont Park: Back to the Future

Presented by Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) at Fremont Park

“Great Scott!” Come time travel to 1955 as Councilmember Katie Valenzuela and CADA host a free showing of the blockbuster hit: “Back to the Future” in Fremont Park. Get up close and personal with the biggest star of the trilogy, the DeLorean Time Machine, which will be on-site for photographs from 5pm to 6:30pm!

Councilmember Valenzuela stated, “We are excited to work with CADA and the YMCA to bring this journey though time to Fremont Park! This event promises to be an incredible experience for fans, families, and friends to come together and celebrate this timeless classic.”

Bring your own blankets, seating and snacks or enjoy the free popcorn from Councilmember Valenzuela’s office, CADA and the YMCA.  Check out local businesses and explore our partner booths featuring face painting, crafting, music, and much more! For up-to-date details, visit www.B2TFSac.com

“At CADA we are always seeking ways to cultivate community,” noted CADA Executive Director, Danielle Foster. “Whether it’s through building design, local art and pride of place, opportunities for local businesses, or events and spaces where people can come together; building community is at the heart of what we do. We’re excited to host this event with the Councilmember’s office, make and build connections, and get back in time together!”

For an even more immersive experience, join Project Lifelong at 4:30pm just two blocks away at the CLTRE Club patio, 1409 16th Street, for skateboarding demos so you can learn some of Marty McFly’s best tricks!  There will also be information available at CLTRE Club from the 28th & B Street Skate & Urban Art Park representatives regarding their upcoming Sk8 Camps!

Ride free with SacRT (https://www.sacrt.com/apps/sacrt-free-ride-flyers/), skate or hoverboard to Fremont Park around 6pm to show off your best Back to the Future costumes in front of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance backdrop.  Whether you go 50’s, 80’s or the timeless Doc Brown, make it one for the history books!  Want to make a day of it?  From noon to 4pm, in partnership with the Midtown Association, CADA is sponsoring Second Saturday in Fremont Park, complete with glitter tattoos, face painting, giant bubbles, an Instrument Petting Zoo hosted by Bigger than Us Arts and a live concert by the Code Blues Band.  A food truck will also be on-site for purchasing options.
