Sacramento is known for politics, but on Saturday it will be also known for political memorabilia.
Fans of American history, button collectors, and pop culture aficionados will gather for the annual show and sale of the American Political Items Collectors (APIC.us). More than 15 tables of memorabilia will be available for the public to shop.
This show is a great opportunity to shop for hundreds of political campaign buttons, posters, advertising pinbacks, women’s suffrage, protest and social justice cause-related items, and pop culture material. The public can also get free appraisals of political items by experts (think "American Pickers" meets “Antiques Roadshow"), live auctions, and displays of political Americana.
The American Political Items Collectors is a non-profit hobbyist organization dedicated to the study and preservation of material relating to America's political heritage. Its members range from students to stockbrokers, history teachers, political scientists, elected officials, and armchair historians.
