Rock the Mic is an event created to give all creative beings (poets, rappers, dancers, singers, storytellers, etc.) a platform to not only share their art but to speak their truth. Open to all who feel compelled to come, this program provides artists with performance experience, a liberating atmosphere that encourages vulnerability, feedback for performers who are seeking it, and possibly special appearances from artists in the Sacramento community. In addition, this is a place where artists may network, find potential collaborations for future projects, or discover deeper connections. Rock the Mic is for the community of visionary souls who want to receive, release, and create art.
