In Hot Pursuit: 2nd Saturday Exhibit and Artist Reception with Linda Nunes

In Hot Pursuit: 2nd Saturday Exhibit and Artist Reception with Linda Nunes

Presented by CapRadio and City of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture at Unknown

Capital Public Radio presents local artist Linda Nunes as part of its rotating Second Saturday art exhibit. Nunes' works, which incorporate collage, photography, paint and other media, are encapsulated under a unique medium, encaustic -- an ancient mixture of tree resin and bees wax that dates back to the first century B.C.

Join us for a free Second Saturday Artist Reception on May 14, with live music and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine by Shadow Ranch Vineyard. Performing live is the Beth Duncan Trio, a local Sacramento jazz group, whose music incorporates samba beats, imaginative jazz arrangements, sultry vocals and stunning originals. Catch this performance before they play at this year’s Sacramento Music Festival.

"In Hot Pursuit" will also be on display April 12 through June 20.

Art is on sale for the duration of the exhibit and reception and a portion of the proceeds goes to Capital Public Radio. This exhibit is funded in part by the Cultural Arts Program of the Sacramento Metro Arts Commission with support from the City and County of Sacramento.
