Honored Elders Day

Presented by State Indian Museum and California State Parks Dept. of Parks & Recreation at State Indian Museum

California State Parks and the State Indian Museum are proud to honor and celebrate California’s Native Elders with the 39th Annual Gathering of Honored Elders. With complimentary admission for this one-day-only, the community is invited to the State Indian Museum to celebrate the special day and be surrounded by these keepers of the traditions who travel from throughout California to attend this important annual event.

Native American dancers will honor the elders through dance. There will be native arts and crafts vendors, community services organizations, and an Indian Taco booth on-site. Food will be available for purchase by Museum guests. Museum guests will have the opportunity to meet the esteemed Elders and explore the treasured Museum.

Note: This event is held outdoors.
