Raices de Mi Tierra, a nonprofit 504 (c) 3 organization, has been active in preserving and celebrating traditional and contemporary Mexican dance since 1995. Founded at Sacramento State, Raices has a mission to promote self-esteem, confidence, and higher education to youth through the medium of dance. Each year, Raices organizes a tour of schools which brings the richness and beauty of Mexican culture to thousands of youth statewide.

Raices focuses on cultural and academic education, community service, and professional productions to maintain their rich traditions.
