The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble presents Shakespeare productions and educational programs to the Davis and Sacramento communities in order to share their love of literature and language. They adapt and modernize classical text to illuminate the inherent universality of the text.

They are committed to producing works in unconventional theatrical spaces. Their current home, the UC Davis Arboretum Gazebo, allows them to present Shakespeare’s works in a unique and exciting outdoor setting.
