Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization working to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimists are women of all ages, cultures, and ethnic groups.

Founded in 1985, Soroptimist International of Elk Grove is a volunteer service organization. Soroptimists raise money, but membership provides much, much more. There are opportunities for women to meet and create networks of support while building lasting friendships. Committee work, direct services to the community, fundraisers, and social activities let members get to know each other.
