Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the country’s premier pre-professional organization for students interested in public relations and communications. With 300 plus chapters and over 10,000 students nationally, the organization seeks to advance the public relations profession by advocating for students to have rigorous academic standards, high ethical principles and diversity in the profession.

The Sacramento State PRSSA Chapter stands out on a national level and on the home campus through its tremendous growth in membership and notable accomplishments. The chapter has progressed from hosting a regional conference in 2009 to hosting the PRSSA National Conference – Bridging the Gap in 2012.

Sac State’s PRSSA Chapter has won several awards locally, and is recognized as one of the largest pre-professional organizations on Sacramento State’s 29,000-student campus. Every semester, the Sacramento State Chapter regularly hosts meetings and special events, providing members opportunities to network with professionals, build knowledge of the public relations industry and build the skills essential to getting employed. Regular meetings feature: guest speakers, panels, round tables and workshops.
