The mission of PBS KVIE, a non-profit organization, is to educate, enrich, enlighten, and inspire diverse audiences and individuals with high quality television programming and related services that enhance the quality of life for people throughout Northern California. KVIE’s vision is to open minds and change lives, giving people information they need to participate fully in the community they share and the world around them. KVIE uses technologies to connect the region’s diverse communities to one another–children to museums, families to public health services, voters to government, adult learners to libraries and universities, and senior citizens to social services.
