Living History: 10th Anniversary of the Underground

Living History: 10th Anniversary of the Underground

Presented by Sacramento History Museum at Sacramento History Museum

In July, the community is invited to visit the museum and meet fascinating characters from Sacramento’s past, which is the 10th anniversary of the popular Old Sacramento Underground tour program. Guests are invited to interact with intriguing characters and participate in a special activity focused on the children of the Gold Rush and how their lives were very different from ours today.

The Sacramento History Museum is proud to introduce and offer monthly Second Saturday Living History Day activities both inside and outside the museum located along the Old Sacramento Waterfront. With always-popular and free gold panning activities happening outside the museum on Second Saturdays, games of chance and special hands-on crafts will be offered inside the newly-renovated Sacramento History Museum. Plus, Living History characters in period attire will roam inside and outside the museum to entertain and engage with interested guests.
