The Folsom Lake Symphony presents an evening of romantic favorites including Smetana’s The Moldau, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with soloist Jon Nakamatsu, Ravel’s Pavane and Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
Note: There will be a 20 minute intermission during this performance.
Jon Nakamatsu:
Van Cliburn winner Jon Nakamatsu first performed with the Folsom Lake Symphony in 2016. He continues to draw unanimous praise as a true aristocrat of the keyboard, whose playing combines elegance, clarity, and electrifying power. He has performed widely in North and South America, Europe, and the Far East, collaborating with many internationally acclaimed conductors. Featured appearances include Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
