Tsubaki Ensemble

ANY GIVEN CHILD CERTIFIED: Designated arts provider for Arts for Any Given Child - Sacramento. Participating schools may request an eligible offering from this provider as their Arts Exposure Experience.

The Tsubaki Ensemble is an inter-generational Japanese-American performing ensemble that educates audiences about the Japanese culture through folk music, dance, and storytelling.

Assembly #2: Japanese Drumming & Folktale Fun!

Program Description

This exciting new assembly offering combines Japanese taiko drumming with classic Japanese drum-related folktales. Students will see performances using different kinds of taiko and other traditional instruments seamlessly interwoven between fun interactive folktales. Everyone learns how to play the taiko and some are chosen to join us onstage for the final drumming finale.
