Call For Artists: Black and White Art Show

Black and White is the 19th exhibit at Rancho Cordova City Hall. “Black & White” will run from April 10 through July 28 and will be juried by Daphne Stammer. All media is welcome except those noted below.

Submission information and requirements:
-There is no entry fee.
-Artists are encouraged to bring in up to three of your most outstanding and recent art pieces
-Size limit: up to 4’ x 4’, weight limit: 25 pounds
-2D work must be a minimum 12” x 12”
-All submissions must be your own current and original artwork
-Types of work accepted: all types of two and three dimensional artwork
-Not accepted at this time: video, film and projected work
-We are not responsible for artwork behind glass - Plexiglas is preferred
-All 2D work must be wired, frames, and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers
-Gallery-wrapped canvases should have finished sides without staples showing
-Artist may be called to assist in display of unusually fragile work
-During the show each piece will include a gallery tag with artist’s name, art title, photo process or media and price (or NFS - Not for Sale)
-Artist’s contact information will be made available for interested buyers
-All submitted work must include a completed tag provided below. Please attach to the backside of each submitted piece. Completed tags are absolutely necessary. Please print clearly.
-All art pieces not picked up within 48 hours from the pickup dates noted below become the property of the Cordova Community Council

Important Dates:
-Tuesday, March 28 11am-6pm: Drop off work for jury process
-Wednesday, March 29: Pick up unselected work
-By Thursday, March 30: Selected art will be posted on Cordova Community Council Art website
-Thursday, April 13, 5:30pm-7:30pm: Artist reception
