Winter Wonderland

The holiday season makes ordinary places seem magical ... and magical places seem divine. With that in mind, Sacramento's most magical spot -- Fairytale Town -- has expanded its' Winter Wonderland event for 2009 to two consecutive weekends of after-hours magic. The park will be aglow with twinkling seasonal lights and the crisp air will be filled with music and laughter as we celebrate winter family festivities and traditions from around the world.

All the regular Fairytale Town attractions will be open for evening play--over 25 colorful oversized storybook playsets including King Arthur's Castle, the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship, Cinderella's Pumpkin Coach, Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest, the Crooked Mile, live Nursery Rhyme animals, and much more -- plus we'll have live entertainment and special arts and crafts activities for all ages as well.

There'll be gift wrapping onsite, along with hot chocolate, holiday decorations, seasonal vendors, and live entertainment. Father Christmas himself will also be on hand and available for any last minute requests as he poses for pictures on our own Mother Goose Stage.

"We're excited about seeing Fairytale Town all lit up for the holidays," says Program Manager Sharlene Lal. "We think it will become even more magical!"
